Frequently asked
Should I choose PoE or WiFi cameras?
PoE (Power over Ethernet) cameras use one cable for power and video and record to an NVR. They're the most reliable choice for permanent installs and outdoor coverage. WiFi cameras are quick to set up where cabling is hard, and they record to a microSD card and the CloudSEE app.
Can I watch my cameras on my phone?
Yes. Every camera and NVR we sell works with the free Jovision CloudSEE app for iPhone and Android (and PC), so you can watch live video, play back recordings, get alerts and use talk-back on supported models.
How many days of recording will I get?
That depends on the number of cameras, resolution and hard-drive size. As a rough guide, 4 × 5MP cameras on a 4TB drive with H.265 and motion-based recording usually gives several weeks. Tell us your setup and we'll size the drive for you.
Which NVR do I need?
Choose an NVR with at least as many channels as cameras, plus room to grow. The ND7004-PD01 (4ch) and ND7008-PD01 (8ch) have PoE ports built in. The HP and HV series (4–32ch) support 4K and are used with a separate PoE switch.
What warranty do I get?
Every unit is recorded against your invoice by serial number, and we handle warranty claims here in New Zealand. Ask us for the warranty terms on the specific products you're buying.
Do you install?
We supply equipment NZ-wide and work with local installers. Let us know your region and we can recommend an installer near you, or help you with a DIY setup.
